Committee Group: Regional Committees

Chair: Mr. Abhishek Gupta

Description:
The ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) was established at the Twenty-Sixth ASEAN Ministerial Meeting and Post Ministerial Conference, which were held in Singapore on 23-25 July 1993. The ASEAN RF has been very successful as a forum for multilateral and bilateral dialogue between member nations and has fostered the principles of dialogue and cooperation, non-interference and incremental progress across the region. The multilateral approach has been reinforced by cooperative security activities between member states. ASEAN's Regional Forum is a key institution that will be able to address the multitude of issues that Asia faces today.
