Description:
The Economic and Financial Committee of the General Assembly will be addressing Sovereign Manipulation of Currency, and Inefficiencies in the World Food Market. States regularly intervene in currency markets, claiming to be defending their economies from the depredations of the market. Establishing when this is beneficial and detrimental to the world at large is of crucial importance. Feeding the world's poor remains at the forefront of the global conscience, and so improving the market through which foodstuffs are allocated will be a crucial task.
