Historical Security Council (HSC)

Contact: hsc@munuc.org
Committee Group: Specialized Agencies

President: Mr. Charles Clark

Description:
On 1 November 1967, the 15 delegations of the Security Council will be called to the United Nations headquarters in New York City to address the rising instabilities that have developed amongst several international parties. The UNSC, with its unique authority, will be expected by the global community to resolve the complex conflicts of the Six-Day War and the escalating situation in Viet Nam. The Council must balance the time sensitive aspects of these conflicts with the necessity of realizing lasting peace. The challenging tasks that face delegates will cause divisions, but members of the Council will have to overcome these political disagreements in the common interest of global stability.
