The Social, Humanitarian, and Cultural Committee is the Third Committee of the General Assembly, responsible for upholding fundamental rights and freedoms as outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. With such a vast area of concern, the Committee has been involved in many international issues, such as refugee law, international drug control, and the advancement of women.
