To facilitate cooperation on issues plaguing our world’s developing communities, the United Nations Development Programme will devote its energies to two critical topics: Electoral and Legal Reform and International Food Security. These two disparate topics pose foundational problems for the future of many nations. As evidenced by the recent crises in the international food market and the myriad, political protests around the globe, these two topics deserve the immediate attention of our world’s diplomats. During the course of MUNUC XXIII, our delegates will debate the various problems within each topic and, hopefully, arrive at a plan that can lead our world to an optimal distribution of food and a path towards reliable, equitable governance.
