Description:
The financial cornerstone of the UN Millennium Goals, the World Bank strives to aid member states, funding myriad social and economic programs though its loans and grants. At MUNUC XXIII, the Executive Board of the World Bank will meet once again to discuss two new topics: Cutting Down on Corruption in Aid Distribution and Implementation and Funding National Microfinance Initiatives. A unique format, the latter topic will function through a debate of potential funding proposals, rather than a standard resolution writing process (see background guide for further explanation). This body promises to rectify problems in two of today’s greatest financial movements while simulating some of the objective, soluble processes that uphold the World Bank.
